The Art Blakey album got me thinking about the 2 CD
Grant Green compilation "
The Complete Quartets with Sonny Clark."

It includes performances from several recordings from 1961 and 1962 including "Nigeria," "Gooden's Corner," "Oleo," and some other songs that were recorded at those same sessions and later issued by Mosaic Records.
Art Blakey plays on the first seven songs, and I really like his energy. I also like it when the liner notes confirm my thoughts - the author of liner notes for the 1980 release (Ben Sidran) says "for my money, the highlight of the album is the stylized arrangement of 'It Ain't Necessarily So.'"
This was also my first exposure to
Sonny Clark. It prompted me to look at some of his other recordings, and getting a copy of "
Cool Struttin'," Rudy Van Gelder edition:
