Lon, I went through a Wynton "obsession" (after meeting him) a few years back and culminated with buying most of the family's recordings.
That is one of my favorites.

I have also never passed up a Deutsche Grammophon pressing in decent shape.

This is next, after a couple of days with my favorite blues and jazz.
I can not say that Mahler "moves" me as much as his work settles me. Something special here.

I have a few various Furtwangler (ages old) I intend for next. No pivotal juncture, just a twisting point toward more depth. "Moving!" Indeed.

That sub-platter is a definite improvement over stock. All the Groovetracker mods are worh upgrading too--the other one that surprised me was the Delrin platter--it improved the sound AND you don't have to use a mat.

I have not noticed any trouble at all posting in this thread, Geno.

Computers are such a pain. We just want the damn things to do what they do and shut up about it. There's no more "Glam" in a computer than with a pair of pliers or a hammer. It is a tool. Nothing more.

I've used Chrome for a long time, now. As long as MS allows me to use it as my default browser, I'm happy with it.
But, I use a Windows desktop machine (garage/shop) or a much newer, current run laptop, mostly.

I hope you can sort things out soon.

For now, another from the old record shop ...
Not even an early run or anything special, but it is SO quiet. Great record!
