Yes they are four great tenors for sure. It’s a fantastic albumn. I’m sure the Miles Davis Japan import you are listening to is phenomenal.

I finally got my first Japanese import album like 6 months ago…”Barney Wilen’s Jazz Sur Siene. Now I see why you have gravitated towards those recordings…there is something special on how they are mastered.

I have the Mobile Fidelity SACD as well which also sounds fantastic. This one is a bit crisper and perhaps a hair more dynamic. Beautiful packaging!

I love this recording. So much fun. A performance was broadcast on TV in the days before videotape and so far no one has found a Kinescope and put it out--I'd love to see it.

Also Columbia/Sony had a 2 cd reissue planned and even advertised. . . that they ended up never releasing as the producer was let go from Columbia. A huge shame! I'd love to hear the extra material!
