Steve doesn't use a xover in this model. He uses a 3.3uf capacitor on the tweeter, and runs the two speakers out of phase of each other. How is this done? From his schematic, it looks like one of the sides of the cap goes to the (neg) side of the tweeter. The other side of the cap goes to the (pos) side of the woofer. Then he runs a wire from the tweeter (pos) to the (neg) side of the woofer. Do I have this right? If so, why would this sound better than a traditional in phase setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
