Something recent from Yello! - You can never go wrong with Yello from a system evaluation perspective. Every album is like a system test disk to evaluate image, depth, width, height, density, hit, power, swell, tease, pull-back, smash, texture, tone, timbre, you know -- all those things you love about music! These guys are the master of the Moog synth.

The “layers” on it are something else. I still don’t understand how I can have music 5-10 feet outside of my speakers. But I love it.

These ambitious recordings of Burrell for Verve took me a while to fully appreciate but I love them now. Such a great guitar sound and playing, and interesting arrangements.

Roy Hargrove and Mulgrew Miller "In Harmony"

I'm enjoying this more than I anticipated. The sound is quite good and the playing captured my attention and would not let go.

Roy Brooks "Understanding"

Woody! Carlos! Harold! Cecil! The mastering is quite good, making this one of the best Left Bank Society recordings I've heard.

The better the system gets the more this fills the room with warm liquid sound. It's a good balance of a. modern recording with a traditional jazz recording, and communicates differing moods via the engineering and performances.
