Freddie here always has looked to me as if he was drawn by comic book artist George Tuska. It's the pose and the angle. I have a number of copies of this (Platinum SHM-CD which is a mono transfer, XRCD24 and this one) and they all sound very good. Tina Brooks! Taken from us way too soon.

I've been rolling some tubes again. I just can't stop! These amps cry out for experimentation as there are little details of tone and texture to find with each change. Right now running 6085s in input and RCA 0B3 as output regulation tubes.

I used to listen to Ry but don't much at all any longer. Probably will sell my 9 album cd box set soon.

Listening to Eliane Elias "I Thought about You" again as it sounds so good and suits my mood today. Makes me think of my lovely wife who came into my life "Just in Time."

A single disc from that '56 to '62 Columbia period snags me into a long series of disc after disc of Ellington at times. Not a bad thing to happen. Right now Disc 2 from the "Ella & Duke at the Cote D'Azur," Verve cd.

Now on to something completely different: my first listen of the remix of "The White Album." I can remember hearing this album when I first arrived at boarding school in M'Babane. Never was a huge Beatles fan but liked some of this album more than most of other Beatles albums. Remix is interesting. . . won't replace the original but a nice new window to look this material.
