Internal Speaker Wire and Caps
08/19/24 at 17:16:53

I am in the planning stage of building DNA2’s 2-way design and was looking for suggestions on what type and gauge of wire for inside the speaker cabinets.
Also, the design calls for a single Cap 3.3uf on each tweeter. How important are the Caps? I was thinking Jantzen Superior Z, Jantzen Silver Z, Mundorf Supreme to name a couple.  Any suggestions from experience builders? Thanks!

Well I have used this wire in several of my builds with good enough results.

Capacitors, well I've used Jantzen Silver Z's before, I've used Mundorf's too, heck I've used Parts Express.

They all worked.
My advice is to use as expensive as you are comfortable with, but maybe starting out on the cheap side just so that later you can change out to something more upmarket to see if you can hear the differences.
