Night and day difference...
08/03/23 at 17:47:59

Over the years my attention has occasionally been focused on power issues. Not necessarily always related to audio, but when you are dealing with vulnerable and highly sensitive circuitry, these things matter. Black outs and their associated power ups, brown power, all varieties of spikes, etc.

My latest shower thought comes from contemplating the noticeable differences in sound between noon and midnight. Night time listening can be sooo delightful! My theory is that much of the day time line noise comes from solar radiation possibly canceling out some high frequency in the lines so that the spectrum is slightly reduced giving a slightly tighter range for audio to travel in... I think this theory needs some tweeking, but it lead me to the following question

If solar radiation is part of this issue, is the issue greater or more noticeable closer to the equator? Likewise, do any issues come in the evening in areas subject to the aurora borealis?

Any input is appreciated!
