SE84 Power Supply and Dual Mono Questions
03/30/23 at 21:07:48

To the collective,

I have built a zen clone using the kit.  I now want to build one but use the 5U4G rectifier tube.  I have looked for schematics on here and other places to no avail.  If anyone could supply a power supply schematic for a zen clone that would be helpful.

Also, i would eventually like to turn these into monoblocks.  the manual is very vague on how to do this.  i understand wiring the OPT secondaries in series.  i am guessing you wire or switch the inputs to L+R as well?

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Yes, you typically split the input with a Y cable.  If you look on page 17 of the UFO manual:

https://www.decwareproducts.com/_files/ugd/f1f204_e1b8a7c7f5f74930ae24a5c7b28d10...

It has a description of how to rig for mono, both single ended and balanced.

I should have known to look into the product manual, doh  [smiley=simp48.gif].  Thank you for this!
