Lii Audio New P15 Driver

Here's a link to a FB post on the new Lii Audio P15 driver in a ported reflex cabinet. No details on pricing, but based on the P10 it's probably going to be +$2K.

‘Lil Audio is at it again. How is this one different from the latest F15?

I recently noticed they have a W-18 and W-21 on their website too. Maybe this is old news and I missed it.
Looking forward to their new stuff flooding the used market with their old stuff! I just picked up a W-15 dirt cheap and looking for a second to incorporate into some new baffles.

Jim,

You can get a sense by checking the P-10 driver on the website.

Hey, Manny, I found one W-15, too, but I really need two to start.

My enclosure is built to suppport two fifteens, and juxtopposed is my preferred build style for this type of thing.

I was not in the market when I saw that one, but I suppose I am now. I want a second so I can play again.

I guess I could try something Steve has done in the past; use two different drivers. In which case opposing could prove foolish.

Curious about this new driver. I feel so far behind already.

Right there with you, DD. I just finished my first F15 baffles - after the Fast 15 were available. Then came the P10, and now talk of the P15. I just hope that the P15 has the same dimensions as the F15, so it can be a direct replacement.

That is one hugh bass reflex cabinet. Wonder if the P15s are open baffle friendly. Interesting to see how this latest 15" full ranger unfolds. Lii's Fast F15 seemed to have lost the lime light.

It seems like the trend with their successive updates is lower QTS which I take to meaning less open baffle friendly.  Maybe they can be tuned with Steve's network idea but I try to keep my signal path as simple as possible so maybe great for some people, just doesn't mesh with my philosophy, though.
Like John says, if these 15s and larger are requiring cabinets we're talking H U G E !!!

DD - Have you thought about using a single baffle for the F15 and the W15?  That's probably the route I will go when it comes time to cross that bridge.

I concur completely with you, DD. After the Fast 15 were released, I finally got around to making my first set of baffles. After the P10, the P15 has been discussed. I'm crossing my fingers that the P15 is a drop-in replacement for the F15 in terms of size.
