Today FEDEX delivered the Amber Ruth vinyl. However, no turntable at the moment so I'll have to wait to hear how it sounds.
Interesting that Amber Rubarth is not more known considering just about everything she's done is sold out.

This is both well-recorded acoustic guitar AND well-recorded electric guitar from Brazilian master Marcos Amorim. This album is by a "trio" but it's really at least a quartet as Amorim is almost always dubbing a guitar track, and an acoustic and an electric track are on each track..
I really love his work. And this label, Adventure Music, records their releases very well.

Check out Nosotros by Los Macorinos. Allende and Leon have a nice album with Alexandra Gravas, too.

Ray Charles "Genius+Soul=Jazz" Impulse/Verve Acoustic Sound Series LP
I've had this in other analog and digital versions, it always sounds good but this record is a little step above the others.
Followed by

Oops the above two belong in the "What's Spinnin'" thread.
This however belongs here. A fantastic musician, excellent sound.

I had kinda forgotten about this CD, way up in a corner on the top shelf.
On CD.
I don't know a lot of classical guitar players, but David Russell is clearly an elite virtuoso on the instrument. And Telarc's recording is typically outstanding. Listening to it with the UFO25s is like being in the room, or better because a lot concerts I've heard don't sound this good.

"World's Fair" - Julian Lage. Young jazz heavy plays a 1939 Martin. Modern yet melodic playing on an incredible sounding instrument with fine recording quality and no overdubs. A good listen for checking a system after a change.
