Analog Funk From 2024? Oh yeah!

I love looking for new music. Every once and awhile I come across an album that just makes me happy and smile. When that album is made by a French musician who leans into it as much as possible and uses an analog console? AaaaaaHhh yeah....

I've found that French artists albums usually sound fantastic. This album delivers.

I just had to look this up. Thanks GS (I think) for taking me out of my more familiar listening! Here's what I found:

The album you listened to is actually called "Analog Love" by Dabeull, not GS - Analog Love. It seems to be his debut album and it came out today, April 12th, 2024!

Here's what I found about the album:

Genre: Dabeull's music is categorized as "danceable funk". The album itself was recorded using an analog mixing console, the same one used to create Michael Jackson's Thriller, giving it a warm and classic sound.

Dabeull's popularity: There's no information available yet on how well-known Dabeull is but he has experience performing in the US, Asia, and Europe. His previous EPs made him a rising star in the funk scene.

Career Length: It's difficult to say definitively how long Dabeull has been in the music business, but this is his first full album.

I haven’t heard anything that funky and enjoyable since Tupac’s “All Eyes on Me”, and appreciate the lack of vulgar language on this modern funk piece compared to Tupac’s masterpiece.
