What are these? (Read 7726 times)

Basically it's a frame wrapped in Mylar, or some other film, and the material is excited with the current that would normally drive a voice coil. It sounds fast because the material is so light.

What's the cone area plus say 5%of the rubber surround of a typical 12in. Woofer? Calculate the math or use a square surround and copy volumes ? I imagine that a film could be made stiff enough...
