Zkit 3 done

I bought one of these kits for my son for Christmas. He bought a pair of Senheiser 580s for his birthday and an amp is needed with the Ipod touch. He used my Zenhead for a while.
Very nice kit. I forgot how much I missed soldering and how long it has been. It only took about two hours to get all the parts on the board. Turned it on and no smoke and we had sound.

Steve, one question. The back of the board has holes for a 9-12V trans connector. Have you ever sourced a part number for this connector? It would be nice to add that part number to the parts list. I think drilling a hole in the back of the battery holder for a plug to use wall power would be great.

John

Hi, I have finished the same amp over a year ago and I'm still happy with it, I use the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO, the sound is incredible, the amp I ended up using a shell that offers Steve on his website.

I did the same. I bought the enclosure that Steve offers. Its the same case as what he sells just in a different color. My son uses it every day with his Sen 580s. Its funny, his friends ask him to listen to them all the time. Most of his friends have the Beats headphones.
