I was sorry to hear that Dave Brubeck passed away earlier today... He was one of the seminal greats I listened to when I was young... Him and Coltrane, Miles, and later, Dexter Gordon...

My main love is classical music, but my cousin Alan was a jazzophile, and I often went over to his house to listen to jazz LPs... This was in the late 50s...

He will be greatly missed... (m.)
