The CCE mod requires you to modify the circuit board by cutting the trace between pins 3 and pins 6. Then you can install a 0.1uf 400 volt poly cap between the two pins.

Pins 3 and 6 do not look connected on the schematic, nor on the graphic of the board in the assembly instructions. (I presumed that the NC beside pin 6 meant not connected). Steve, is it the traces between pins 3 and 8 which need to be cut?

Any other differences with the early boards? NB I was wrong - it is a later board, and pins 3 and 6 are connected beneath the tube holders.

Reply #4 - 07/16/09 at 23:49:05 The early boards had a full shield that proved to be have a greater potential to cause noise problems than it did to prevent noise problems so it has been eliminated from the current production. Steve
