DBK212 question about woofer mounting
05/11/09 at 20:11:41

When running two woofers in the dbk212, I have read through the forms that they are in a clamshell configuration.  It seems that some have used panel B as the spacer between the two woofers but my woofers won't fit inside on panel B.

So is it ok to mount on the topside of panel B, cones facing each other, separated by a spacer.  I made a ring from 3/4" MDF to use for this separation.

It seems that when running with two woofers you loose a great deal of tuning space within the cabinet.  Does this present any problems?

Thanks

John

It will not cause a problem. The insert is often place low in the enclosure for low tuning. With the insert being adjustable you can tune the enclosure for optimun performance. Just my two cents.
