You're welcome! I remember that album, need to dig it out soon.
Listening now to "Crown of Creation" in the new Culture Factory lp facsimile edition. These are really interesting sounding reissues. They're very loud, but then this is the JEFFERSON AIRPLANE. They have one volume level where it all comes together psychedelically before you on a Decware amp, and beyond that it's a bloated mess. I'd like to see these guys tackle "Eledtric Ladyland," "Axis Bold as Love" or "Band of Gypsies."

This is the most recent cd from Japan, on Bethlehem/Solid Records. Sounds amazing. I love this album. Road my motorcycle eleven miles in thirty degree weather to pick it up at the post office, but no gripes.

Montrose
Lon, Get on your (Bad Motor Scooter) This may warm you up!
Sammy Hagar
Great old tunes back in the day.
Looking to expand my horizons now that I'm older looking for more mellow music these days. I picked up some music that you guys have posted here the other day looking for more of an open sound not so busy but more relaxing. I picked up a Ben Harper and a Rickie Lee Jones cd. I also picked up 4 Dire Straights cd's the CSP3 really show there music nicely. The wifey likes good soul music so that will be next on the radar. We have some Marvin Gaye and the Temptations looking for more similar type of music. I know Montrose is pretty far from that but revisiting some of my old favorites.

Digger, Hagar and Montrose. . .those aren't my style these days.
No time to get on the bike and ride, no matter the temperature, I had my one shot to get out today and did, but now it's living the life of a shut in as I take care of my shut-in parents.

Lon,
Your parents are very lucky to have you for a son. You are doing god's work! My mother passed 15 years ago at age 58 way to young and we miss her. My father is turning 80 soon and we are getting into a similar situation as you.
Spinning some Bryan Adams now I believe Pink Floyd maybe on deck!

I've hooked up with a group that's in touch with a lot of independent music, electronica, and they are into FLAC and other high rez files. So I have a feeling ordering the ZMA was a good choice seeing as I'm going to have access to a bunch of new, high rez music.
This is what I'm listening to now. Trance/Electronica - I really like the music, but the beat takes some getting used to.

Old but still good rock, a few notches below heavy. The twin guitars tones are just liquid heaven through the Decware amps.

Sure is nice stuff. I think I'll be looking for the Argus album. You have anymore bands you listen to with a similar style of music. Always looking for new music to spin.
Nice!

Another look into something new for me. Drone metal - sounds a lot like some of the Nordic Folk Metal (not kidding! LOL), but these guys are out of Seattle.

I'm not much into this sort of thing, preferring blues, jazz and classical for the most part, but have listened to SUNN and enjoyed them. You should check out Earth.

I have trouble getting into Black Metal and Death metal - the "vocals" do nothing for me, but I typically like the music. This is another new one I'm trying out.

Digger, I was going to mention you in that post, yes Argus and I have the `Live dates 2`. Checking their discography I see they have quite a few live so I`ll probably go for another in the next batch. They were a must see when they toured, not big venues, they played the club circuit along with the likes of Man, Focus, Manfred man. I`ve got Man`s `Maximum Darkness`. An artist I havent got any vinlyl of is Robert Wyatt. I have `Comicopera` on cd. He`s on Soft Machine (the band) records. He`s very good...maybe acquired taste. I like to know that his albums are waiting for me.
Just warming the amps up now, I`ll give this one a spin...never fails.

I haven't listened to this since it came out! LOL
Good CD, a bit much reverb on her voice though...probably sounds good on typical stereo, but with the Zen amp (Which has been sounding fantastic the past couple of days!) it's a bit wet.

Listening to Sophie Mutter doing Beethoven, while wishing I could be listening to the sound of the new guitar I received yesterday, a beautiful sort-of replica of one of Garcia's guitars (Lightning Bolt by Robert Cripe). This guitar is just so so beautiful and has a rich bright sound. (Though I can darken it up enough on the neck pickup to have a nice jazz sound.) Got to spend an hour with it last night and then again this morning. . . now can't wait for the help to take over and give me a few hours off this afternoon.

So Lon, are you also a Dead Fan? I wonder how many more of us there are?...Jazz fanatics that also like the Dead. I think a lot of Garcia's improvised Noodling on many of the "Dick's Picks" and other Live recordings are very close to jazz. Jerry was beyond category. And all with just 9 fingers. Mark.

Yes, I'm not an obsessive Deadhead by any means, and I suppose neither are you. I love Jerry, such a musical mind and a great intellect to boot, and a music-lover first and foremost. My favorite Dead is with Pigpen. . . so from '65 to '72 and then I do like the band with Keith and Donna Godchaux through '78. Just don't listen to the Dead after that.
