Gives me a chance to listen to "Miles Davis '55--the Prestige Recordings," 2 cd set from Prestige/Concord, disc 2 Really nice mastering by Paul Blackmore.

Still that smoke in the air. . . the smell hits your nose right off and my eyes start tearing in a few minutes. Yesterday at my wife's urging we followed the advice on the local news and walked Tobi wearing masks. . . felt a little foolish but that may have been a good idea. We may do so again this morning.

I'm starting off with an excellent Blue Note title, Duke Pearson "The Right Touch" which I have enjoyed many years, this time the Blue Note Japan 85th Anniversary UHQCD. There's a certain sophisticated funkiness to this work that really appeals to me. Great musicians on board as well.

Reply #29103 - Yesterday at 11:11:51 Pulled this set out to listen to and decided I wanted to hear the Wild Bill Davison and Lee Wiley sides on Disc VIII. Great music in great sound! "Classic Columbia Condon Mob Sessions" Mosaic Records 8 cd box set Both Wild Bill and Ms Wiley have unique sounds so well presented here.

Starting off with a great cd for trombone lovers (I love the sound of trombones myself). Putte Wickman "In Trombones" Phontastic cd A clarinetist with an ensemble of four trombones. Great sounds!
