Just got back from an essentials run preparing for the 12" of snow in the forecast down here followed by at least a week of 0 degree low temperatures. The 25th is at a rest cycle now. 60 hours so far and still improving.

A year before retiring all appliances were replaced at home including the HAVC. Seven years into retirement the fridge and dishwasher had to be replaced again! A lot of new junk out there. This is what drives me looking at older used equipment. Much better quality.

I have some shielded power cord wire. Just need ends. It is my understanding that the DynaGrid uses power just for the heater.

Yes, it's just powering that . . . but in my experience attention to power and isolation always pays off, so I'm giving it the treatment I've given to other components. That attention improved the sound of rectifiers, so should improve this component.

Just got back from a run to breakfast with one of my sister- and brother-in-laws at a restaurant that they love. . .me not so much, but the company is nice. Every Friday I wish we were meeting somewhere else but. . .the company is nice. Roads were better coming back than going there, so the plows were finally at work.

-5 degrees out. . . I am hoping I can make it out to teh Post Office this morning to send some tubes to Michael, we'll see. Snow expected tomorrow, but none today, though some wouldn't surprise me the way weather forecasting has fallen a bit short lately!

I decided to start the day off with Grant Green "Idle Moments," the Blue Note 85th Anniversary UHQCD from Japan. Sure sounds nice!

Looping Sarah McLachlan's Freedom Sessions to reach 80 hours of break-in with a Steve built SE84UFO25. An epitome was reached last night at 75 hours of break-in looping Dead Can Dance. Still trying to form words on it. Must say I have never heard a system engulf me as this, ever!
We only got 2" of snow so far. Still looking for 14 more in the forecast.

We had about fifteen hours without snow! The. snow started back up about an hour ago, and should last through the afternoon and then though we'll have very cold days we should get a respite for a spell from precipitation.

Got to watch and listen thorugh the downstairs audio/visual system for a while and now I'm in front of the main system upstairs and listeneing to "Pictures of Heath" on Toshiba Super Bit Jazz Classic lp facsimile cd.
