I haven't heard the MoFi release prior to this (on LP, I have the SACD).

This One Step is very good--it is a bit more detailed and "sweeter" sounding than the early 'seventies pressing that I have, and the "Fiftieth Anniversary" release I have. But. . . it's very expensive. Not sure for many that it would be worth the dollars to upgrade.

I picked it up in Japan. I had been looking for it on vinyl and am not disappointed by the pressing.

The ZKit is still working like a champ. It's now paired with some Frugelhorn XL running Dayton PS180 full range drivers. They are still very "fresh" we'll call it. I'll reserve any judgement until they have 50 hours on them. They are sounding pretty good but this is a very good sounding album.

Woke up in the cool stillness and enjoyed the sound of the trees and birds for a few minutes. I love living out here by the forest.

Yesterday I pulled Joe Farrell CTI discs from the shelves and am starting with "Joe Farrell Quartet" on CTI, King Jazz cd.

The great team of Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette anchor this one, and the fourth member is either Chick Corea (three tracks) or John McLaughlin (who appears on two tracks only). There are two duo tracks with Joe, one with Chick and one with Dave.

Miles Davis "The Complete Live in Paris Volume 1 and 2" Lost Recordings UHQCD 2 cd set, disc 1

Recorded at the Olympia Theatre Paris, 11 October, 1960--Davis, Stitt, Kelly, Chambers and Cobb.

I broke down and ordered this, and it arrived today. Only two tracks I think were not released before, and neither have Miles performing--the reason they were orphaned I believe.

Certainly sounds great. Better than previous cd versions.
