Wow, this is a really nice cd. . . and man I don't know if I've ever heard a more nimble harmonica player. I bought it because of Nilson Matta and especially because Maucha Adnet sings on two tracks.

Now finishing up disc III of the new Mosaic Basie/Young box set.

I'm really enjoying it. The sound is a bit partly all over the map, but the Commodore sides have never sounded better to me, and they are among my favorite Young sides.

Back to this one again. Wow. I really dig it.



I set up a second system upstairs today, for headphones, something I have wanted to do and finally saw a way to do so. My other CSP2+ with stepped attenuator and Jupiter caps is not connected to my Denon BDP-A100 universal player via my 1 meter pair of VooDoo Cable "Ultralinear" cables. The universal player is connected with a PS Audio AC-12 power cord, as is the PS Audio Duet I have it plugged into. The BDP-A100 is connected with a MAC Burly power cord. I have two "unlabeled" NOS 7308s and a Siemens 7308 in the CSP2+.

The sound is excellent. Not quite up to the sound on headphones from the main system, but very good. I'll be happy to have a second location to chill and listen. (And watch, there's a TV connected as well).

I have a friend and his 16 year old daughter who are performing in a Regional production of  "Little Shop of Horrors" opening today or tomorrow in Western New York.  I've seen the Touring Broadway Version and a couple Regional versions of the Musical not to mention the Film many times...also the original Roger Corman film with Jack Nicholson. Alan Menken's score and  Howard Ashman's words are amazing.
So to celebrate their opening I'm listening to the 2003 Revival Cast Recording with my Laptop via the Decware Zen Signature Monoblocks and Zu Audio "Soul" speakers.

Mais Simples by Zizi Possi.  When Lon listens to something twice I have to hear it, too.  Dang, this CD was expensive on Amazon.  I got a used one for cheap.  The reviews say this is a really good one.
