They're Ba-aaack!

As Jake will be popping over to Old Blighty soon, and having
no place to store his gear, I put my hand up to mind the
Imperials.  ;)

First impression...they're heavy. I think I'll do some mods to my
trolley to make shifting them easier, weld on longer handles and
fit new wheels maybe.

Other than that, it's great to have them home.

Oh, and as well as the Imperials, Jake passed on a lot of gear
for me to look after as well, including a pair of ribbon tweeters,
which I have hastily fastened to some old boxes and run with the
Imperials with the active crossover set at 4000 Htz (12dB roll off).

The question is, these ribbons have no identifying marks that I
can see.
I have underlined the question because I would like
to see if anyone out there has come accross these units before.

I believe Jake purchased them from eBay, and other than minimal
documentation, I have no idea what they are. What you see is what
you get, thin flat wafers about six inches high and 3 inches wide.

I'll probably post this in a general forum aswell.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Here they are, set up and ready (finally). Using a 3-way active crossover kit, 825 and 3241 Htz c/o points. Brilliant! CO was built from
pc boards - wont mention who in case it clashes with Steve's great stuff.
Now, I've just got to sneak them into the lounge  ;D

Thanks HT-EXT,
Had a bbq on the weekend, where for most of the time, the Imperials sat politely in the background, garnering second looks and praise for 'nice' sound. But an all to short a blast of house (wrecking) music put everyone on notice that here was a setup to be reckoned with. Smiles allround and heads shaking in disbelief at not just the vloume, but the quality of the sound. I was quick to point out that the Imperials where built to a price -  the lowest possible price, and still, so fine. We all agree that we should  head bush with these fellows for a rockin good time  :)
Thanks to Joe, who laid out some good tunes with his guitar, through one of the Imps - Rodney for handling the barbque, thanks to all for a good time had.
Sadly though, the Imperials are back in the shed for the winter, or until someone wishes to have a party - what a waste I fear, but until I win the lottery and build my own auditorium...sigh
