Wicked Comparison 32 to 36 (Read 2189 times)

Brian Seasoned Member Offline Posts: 911 x1\|Oregon\|USA\|USA\|44\|78\|	Wicked Comparison 32 to 36 10/06/07 at 00:40:13 I am told it is bad form to cross post, but I thought perhaps visitors to the WO original version forum may not also visit the WO32 forum and vice versa, so I am putting this question in both. I was wondering if some of you could offer a sound quality comparison between the two versions of the Wicked One bass unit? Thanks.

The WO is a little more forgiving and perhaps even a little easier to fiddle and modify and still have good results. Personal preference will play a part too.

WO32

PLUS

1. fast
2. accurate
3. audiophile grade bass reproduction
4. GREAT for music
5. good for HT

MINUS

1. speaker selection
2. subsonic bass not enough (for me)
3. more difficult to build
4. not the best for car audio
5. limited uses (for me)

WO36

PLUS

1. loud
2. can play down lower
3. most subwoofers will work
4. easy to build
5. can be used for HT/ music / car audio

MINUS

1. LARGE enclosure
2. needs high dollar subwoofer to work best
3. port fart possible at high power
4. not the best for music
5. muddy bass if crossover not used properly

This is just my opinion from research on both enclosures.
