World Cup 2026 with Decware + HT

During this 2026 FIFA World Cup here in the United States, I have been watching all the matches on my Decware System with the addition of my in wall surround sound system.
All I can say is that if anyone out there plans to watch today’s final match, and has the ability to utilize your Decware system with/or without your surround sound system, I urge you to do so. I can honestly say I get a truly immersive experience. I utilize the Decware system as the main focus, and have the 7.1 surround sound as the background filler. The only regret I have had during my audio journey is to not have ever purchased the Decware Ultra to truly dial in the sound. Maybe someday 🤞.
I can say that Fox Sports has done a very good job from an audio standpoint with all of matches have been consistent in loudness…utilizing LUFS as the global standard. A quick search revealed that Fox networks require content to adhere to the target loudness of -24 LUFS on the program mix with a plus/minus of -2dB tolerance and a true peak limit of -6 dBTP.

I didn't watch any of the Cup games (I never really learned to watch sports after teen age years in Africa with no TV, but I sure did enjoy playing soccer there and sometimes intramurally at the University of Chicago) but I do love to use my audio/visual stereo system with Decware ZBIT, ZROCK2, CSP3, HR-1 and a cloned Zen amp with mods when I have the audio/video system to myself. My wife rarely wants to listen to the system with the TV going, so it's limited generally to my watching those shows she does not get into when alone, and sometimes with headphones. When I can and do DAMN it all sounds so good!

I played soccer when I was kid, so it was enjoyable watching the games with the Zbit, Zrock2, CSP3, and my Torii in the mix. The Zen SE84C+ Monos work good, but the added power of the Torii is the better fit when I want to really turn up the volume. I do a lot of TV movies and music in the early AM when I don’t want to wake up the family.

I'm amazed at how much volume I can get in my living/dining area with the Zen amp (the room is about 32 x 24 with varied cieling heights from 9 to 16 feet high in the area the system is placed and a larger 9 foot ceiling in the other portion of the big room). I prefer the sound of SET and lower powered amps and am happy that with my HR-1 speakers I don't need more than the Zen can provide--I can get as loud as I want to without distorition, something I find amazing--the ZBIT, ZROCK2 and CSP3 certainly are helping.
