Kind of Blue is one recording that tops the pile of uncompressed masterpieces. A must have for any serious audiophile. For me, I noticed as my system improved the visceral in that recording has diminished to throat noises and breath. Although not completely gone it has lessened a lot over the years of upgrades. Another very good recording used regularly for system evaluation of late is Ten Years After, "A Space in Time." Both are powerful recordings along with many others on my shelfs.
