DFH-10 & Cube Audio

Hey everyone,

I understand the DFH-10 is designed to easily experiment with different drivers. Would it be a good design paired with the Cube Audio F10 Neo driver ?

... or is the enclosure tailored for Lii Song drivers? How do I figure this out?

Pierre,

I don't know if I would use the Cube driver in that enclosure.

In comparing the Thiele/Small parameters between it and the Lii there are quite a bit of differences.

$5600 plus the cost of building the enclosure is a lot to gamble.
But it is your money, who am I to tell you what to do!

Thanks for your response. I did see that the specs were very different and came to the same conclusion. I definitely don't want to gamble here ...

Take a look at Sonido Drivers.  They have many options including Field Coil drivers that many like better than the Cubes and they cost a whole lot less for a crazy cost to performance.  The Cubes are overpriced in my mind.  I researched both and bought Sonido SWR906FC’s and built Sonido’s recommended cabinets. They are absolutely stunning.  Total cost  all in ~$2000.  I plan to make some additional boxes to try the drivers in for fun to see how they differ in SQ.

Thanks! Will take a look at Sonido. My goal is to build speakers around "best" drivers I can find. There's a guy (Janos?) who loves his Cube Audio voigt pipes and specs looked impressive, though I've never heard them.
