Duelund/Coherent Tinned Copper Speaker Wire
03/21/25 at 06:22:03

Just made a 2m set of speaker cables with Duelund DCA10GA.  I twisted + and - within  a 7mm cotton sleeve with bananas at the amp with bare wire at the speakers.  Out of the box without break-in these cables are just a “Wow” just great sounding. Music just sounds so real and lifelike.  Great Hi’s, Mid’s and Bass with nothing lacking…all for $175! These are a real deal and better than many cables I have owned that cost a whole lot more!  These appear to be keepers but need a good 100 hours break-in.  I will probably upgrade the bananas and add a black stretch mesh cover over the cotton sleeves for aesthetic's.

I own exactly teh same cables. According to Frederik (owner of Duelund) it is better to keep the cable separate.
" Kindly don't add plastics, I would keep wire separate.
Also only use screen if you experience noise, otherwise I find it degrading to the sound.
Best regards,
Frederik "

which I did.   Sound is phaenomenal, in line / better then  high end more expensive cables.      I am also usingf Sonido drivers, in half open baffle Lampizator design p32 speakers. I would like to purchase SWR 06  FC drivers for the monitor speakers.  Would you reccomend them ? Bass extension ?

Dymitr, I tried them both ways and preferred the sound quality twisted together with a cotton sleeve. Listening on your own system is the only way to truly know what is best on your system / room. An audiohead from a CO audio group recommended this build to me to try.  I have since switched to a Decware ZSTYX DIY wire build that I am breaking them in and they sound excellent as well.  More bass and clearer details but tone is still to be determined.
Any Sonido FC driver I would recommend.  As for using the SWR 6 in a monitor, that would be a question for Istvan.  Bass would most likely need assistance.  I have my Sonido FC drivers in a full sized floor standing enclosure and prefer using a single sub to fill in some bass. Without the sub they are very good but with the sub just completes the sound.IMHO

Duelund DCA 16 and 12 tinned copper speaker cable is used exclusively in my system.  I love everything about it, and I’m fairly certain that it’s the least expensive cable I’ve used across several decades!
