Nice!
Little side story about Yello. I was 14 when Ferris Bueller came out. Everyone alive at that time knows bump bump OH YEAAAH bump bump. It was everywhere in ads and the radio. Fast forward to a year or so ago, Steve put up a playlist and I did some youtube (I don't have a streaming service) for the tracks I didn't know. There was one or two Yello songs on that list. And they blew me away. Few weeks ago, I was back at it on youtube while doing stuff at my desk. I selected a Yello playlist. A few songs in...bum bump OH YE...hey wait a minute?!?! That's Yello??? Somehow I never put 2 and 2 together. Crazy.
Since the playlist I've acquired two Yello albums on vinyl. One Second (West German pressing on super thin vinyl) and Toys. Both of those albums are incredible. It seems to me they really care how their music is preserved on media. The One Second album reminds me of a Dynaflex record, but as soon as the needle drops, it could be 200G virgin vinyl with magic pixie dust sprinkles. Sounds coming from everywhere, whispers that don't get lost, everything just perfect. For sound, both of these albums are in the top ten of the 1000's I have.
