Denafrips & Decware Combo

I just thought that I would share that I am currently using:
Mac mini (with Roon, Qobuz & Aiff Saved CD Collection) to
Denafrips Iris DDC to
Denfrips Ares 2 to
Zecware Zbox

What a lovely combo. Ares 2 is a great DAC. Add the Iris DDC and it makes it a lot better. Add a Zbox and it takes away the slight digital edginess and provides a noticeable liquidity.

I was looking to add a Zbit to compare how it sounded vs the Zbox, but the deal I was looking at fell through.

I must say - this is an incredible combo as is. I've rolled a few tubes through it and it really adjusts the sound well too.

The Zbox is definitely one of the forgotten components in the Decware line.

Denafrips and Decware sound great and are also a great value. FWIW I think the sound from the balanced output is better from my Terminator 2, although it is hard to do an apples to apples comparison. So if you do get a ZBIT I think you may be in for another upgrade.
