Peter Maag's Mozart with the Orchestra Di Padova E Del Veneto is a winning combination of serious and fun. I hesitate to say these are my favorite Mozart symphonies, but I hesitate to say they aren't, either.

New page, next Beethoven symphony: no. 2. Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra are another "historically informed" performance on modern instruments. Not my favorite thing on the menu but their second symphony is really good.
