ZROCK and tape loop monitor (Read 1404 times)

ZROCK and tape loop monitor

Hi all

Did anyone try to connect the ZROCK to the tape loop monitor of a Preamp?

probably I'm doing something wrong, or maybe this is normal. I connected my ZROCK to the Send/return tape monitor of my preamp. As I turn the knob closer to the max it starts distorting / clipping.
Is it that the voltage output of the ZROCK that is too high?

If the "knob" you're referring to is the one on the ZRock, then likely, yes.  Your preamp is probably expecting not much more than 2 volts from a tape source.
