Apple buys BIS Records

Did not see that one coming. For years "people" have been saying Apple should buy Disney, or ESPN or a movie studio. Instead they buy a niche (but excellent IMO) Swedish classical music label. Very interesting.

Yes, Apple's acquisition of a niche classical music label, rather than a large entertainment company like Disney or a movie studio, may seem unexpected to some. However, it's important to note that Apple's acquisition decisions are driven by various factors, including strategic considerations, market opportunities, and their long-term vision for their product and service offerings.

While acquiring a classical music label may not have the same mainstream appeal as acquiring a major entertainment company, it could align with Apple's focus on offering diverse and high-quality content to its users. Apple has always emphasized the importance of providing a wide range of content across different genres and interests, so acquiring a classical music label could be seen as a way to further enrich their music streaming platform and cater to a specific niche audience.
