OMG !! The Motherlode

Hello all my crazy D.I.Y. friends. Hope all are well.

Bought a bunch of EL803s ( including some crazy good Telefunken ) when I mistakenly thought they were SV83 drop-ins They of course aren't, so now what to do.
Been trying to find triode curves for that tube to no avail, and then I lucked into this site :https://www.vtadiy.com/loadline-calculators/loadline-calculator/

The Motherlode. What a site for us crazies.

So now it looks like the EL803s would make a phenomenal spud amp, and I'll be getting to work. Since I only do headphones now, it will have plenty of power.

For those of you who might want to look at the curves, it will be the EL803 triode  strapped into a 5K reactive load. A really linear tube.

Haven't slung any solder in a long time. Should be fun.

Cheers,             Crazy Bill

FWIW I had custom adapters made that swapped pins 1 and 9 and used both EL803 and EL83 tubes in my UFOs with excellent results. I fully concur you ought to be able  to build a great sounding amp around them. Also, FWIW, I found the TFK EL803 to be the least good sounding of all the the tubes I tried. JMO/YMMV and all that.
