Silver 10 in an Open Baffle

I’m considering purchasing Silver 10s for use in an open baffle; however, can’t seem to find much information online.   I see that Caintuck and Lii Audio Liionidas both sell open baffle packages featuring the Silver 10.  I realize their Q is rather low for OB.  Hoping to get some general impressions, if compensation networks are used and frequency response measurements in open baffles.

Hi slhijb,

I have found that the Silver-10 drivers can sound VERY good in an open baffle ..... especially if a ZROCK2 is part of the system and a Lii Audio W-15 baffle is added for low frequencies.

An alternative to the bass baffle is a good powered subwoofer.

Some additional thoughts can be found on my website at this link.

If you are building your own baffles, you can use the Silver-10 and W-15 drivers together on the same baffle .....

Best wishes,
Randy
