Thyristor protection
03/10/22 at 09:25:26

Hello, I'm having an issue with burning Thyristors(https://www.kynix.com/Blog/The-Best-Guide-to-Thyristor.html) during storms ( Power failure ).
Fuses are recommended before the 6RA70 converters, gS. Fuse and thyristors both burn occasionally. Fuses are easy and quick to replace, whereas thyristors take longer and have more delays.

A 500A thermal-magnetic circuit breaker is installed on the line's power source.

My concern is how to protect it, and what form of effective protection should be attached to the voltage of the power supply?

Hard to recommend solutions when we don't know how it is used and why.
