All the Decware amps (Read 2429 times)

Which of the amps are single ended triode and single ended pentode and which ones are push pull? I think I understand that single ended is like Class A and push/pull is like Class AB. Explain, very simply, triode and pentode and differences. Thanks.

Triode = one control grid to modulate the flow of electrons through the tube.

Pentode = three control grids. It allows much higher power but conventional wisdom says the music has less e.g. detail and space.

I personally think that is less about the tube and more about the rest of the amp, but that's just me. Note also the Decware triode amps use pentode tubes but wired so that they behave like triodes.
