Using a SS integtated amp with my DM946

During the summer months and with terrible AC here, i switched (for now) to a Musical Fidelity X-Al integrated amp. All the electrolytic caps were replaced with Nichicon Muse series caps and all the caps were bypassed with Vishay bypass caps .
My tube integrated amp I used a powered sub woofer with extra cables coming off the amp and it works great.
With the SS amp p i do NOT need the sub-woofer. I keep the SS amp on 24-7, it uses an external transformer (toroidal).
The bass quality is amazing for such a small cabinet and highly musical. At 50pc at 8 Ohms, I have the keep the volume control down yet the musicality is great.

Thanks for sharing this! I have used my 945's exclusively with Mini Torii, but found them to have good bass/ excellent dynamics for size and to be highly musical with very easy to listen to tone. As I've said before, fit and finish is astounding as this price! Highly recommended!
