ZKIT1 Two stereo boards bridged - Newbie question
06/28/20 at 14:44:35

Hi,

I've been wanting to build a ZKIT1 for a while, and find myself closer to getting started.

Is it possible, to run two stereo boards from a single set of transformers and run them bridged so I can have 6 watts from a single enclosure/volume control?

Thank you for your thoughts!

Yes

Just wire the speaker side of the output transformers in series or in parallel, whichever way sounds best to you.  I don't think the group has formed an opinion on this, which might mean that it depends on the speakers.

Thanks Dan!

I have a way to go before I get started on this project. Need to gather up some $$$'s for the bits Smiley

As transformers take a while to acquire, those will be ordered first. They also happen to be the single most costly part of the build.
