For Sale Decware Imperial Pair (kind of)
07/15/19 at 21:27:52

For Sale -  One pair of Decware designed Imperials.  I built these about 15years ago from Steve Deckert's design.  The reason I say “kind of” a pair is one is a full Imperial while the other is 2 – half Imperials.  The 2 halves can be used together as a single unit, or split apart to act as stand-alone speakers.

I no longer have room for these beasts, so I am offering them for sale along with a bunch of other equipment listed below.  Local pick up only (Fond du Lac, WI)  I wrote a great post with all kinds of info about the Imperials then had a web-page meltdown and lost it all, so here is the condensed version:
Full Imperial:
1 Eminence Gamma 15A woofer
1 Dayton 15” Cast frame woofer w/ 4” v/c
1 Selenium DH-200E 1” Titanium mid-tweeter horn

half Imperial (each)
1 Dayton 15” Cast frame woofer w/ 4” v/c
1 Selenium DH-200E 1” Titanium mid-tweeter horn

Cabinet – ¾ inch Birch plywood.  Both types of speaker have quality 4” casters for easy moving.

I'm asking $1000 for the set of speakers, but that's negotiable as long as they are going to a good home.

Need any other info? Send me a message.  The rest of my equipment is listed below.
Thanks,
Jim P

DECWARE Imperial  Main speakers.  Each side has 2 -15” woofers and a horn mid-tweeter.  The woofers are horn-loaded in a wooden box (I built them from plans I bought from DECWARE; read about them here: https://www.decware.com/imperial.htm)  The speakers are a redesign of  an old Jensen Imperial speaker.  These things will give you as much quality sound as you can take!  They actually work best in large rooms or outside where they develop some serious bass.  One is built as a single unit, the other is built as 2 pieces which can be used together as one, or separately if you don't need 2 giant speakers for a smaller gig.  See picture.  I can give you any other info you need about these.  I have done outdoor concerts with these for 800+ people.  No Problem.  I also have a few extra horn tweeters and replacement voice coils I will throw in.
Asking $1,000 for the set.
(This is what the materials and components alone cost)

The imperials have found a new home. Now suffering from the "one more song syndrome".
