Mini Torii tube question...
10/03/17 at 20:58:25
Before I call Steve, does anyone know if a 12BH7 can be substituted for the 12AU7 in the M.T. I know in some situations it can, but not always. Also, if anyone has done this, any impressions you'd like to share?

You can do it because there is a lot of information out there on folks substituting them for the 12au7. However When I had my mini I got hold of some good Sylvania made Bendix 6189s with shiny internals that were awesome. Also the 5814 is a good sub.

I think mine (mk2) was delivered with 12au7 input tubes. I’m using NOS telefunken tubes as well as Mullard and I’m pleased with those.

Thanks guys. Although there is a lot of information out there on people making the substitution, there is also a lot of information saying you need to check with the amp designer first as the tubes are not compatible in every circuit.
