Guitar mod

Kinman treble mod uses a 130k resistor in series with a capacitor.

Kinman used 250k potentiometer

Would the value of the resistor change for 500k or even a 1 meg potentiometer?

I don't know about the resistor value, but 500 would be a lot of treble if it's a single-coil pickup, and a lot for a hum bucker at 1000!

Corey,

If i recall correctly it scales on an audio taper.

A quick Google sounds like I might be remembering correctly.

Personally I do bleed circuits by ear since the harmonics of the particular pickup can change the overall feel of the mod. On my Dimarzio Fred pickup, Satriani picked a specific frequency so he retains those goofy harmonics that pickup is known for - going "by the book" would have choked that pickup as you turned the volume down.

What value resistor would you recommend for a 1500pf capacitor to attain the most bass response when the volume is turned down?

Try a 220k with a 500k pot.

changing the main 2 filter caps in a Marshall 50 Watt, solid state power supply.

The caps are rated at 2200 uf and 50v.

I am replacing with Mundorf M-lytic 63v.

I'm not a fan of gold, but man that's going to look slick.

I use those tuners on all the guitars I parts together. Smooth as anything.
