Power supply of SE34I.2+
01/26/17 at 17:23:00

I posted this in the DIY Forum as well, but here it is more likely to be seen...

Does anyone know what the power supply/ies of SE34I.2+ is/are?  Steve mentioned this to me after I had smoke coming out of my unit, yet I cannot find that e-mail.  Thanks...

Not sure exactly what info you're looking for but for voltages you should have between 300-320 VAC on the high voltage secondaries (the red wires) around 2.7 VAC on the rectifier filament and about 3.3 VAC on the tube heaters, these voltages all depend on your incoming house mains.

Other than that you can use a Hammond 272FX transformer for replacement.

Hi Denizen,

Thanks for this. The issue is the amp is in istanbul, Turkey and therefore I have no chance to send it to Steve for a replacement.  Quite a few nonths ago, a thick smoke came out of the unit and it turns out that one of the supply supplies is melted.  A tech in Istanbul diagnosed
This and is asking for a huge number to custom-wound the supply.  At the time of the incident, Steve had told me the brand and model of the power supply.

This would really help though.  Thanks again.

Best,

Alper

Are you speaking of the AC input power transformer? Or one of the output transformers to the speaker?
That's the only thing I can think of that would need "winding".

I see, then your mains voltage is 230 volts and you would need the Hammond 372fx transformer or the Edcor Em0755A, I do not recommend the Edcor though, the Hammond is a better transformer.
