Turntable vs Tube amp
01/04/17 at 17:40:06

Anyone here have a turntable in the middle of the rack?
How does it work for you?

I've got one rack and for now I've got a tube amp on the top shelf and I either have to get a 2nd rack or place the turntable in the middle.  I could put the tube amp in the middle but how much headroom would it require.  Could I set the house on fire?

Match- I have my TT on the top shelf, the Rachael in the middle with about 4'' or so to the next shelf and a ZP3 with maybe 3'' to the next shelf. Has not be a problem for over 2 + year. Ambient temp in the closet with all the gear on is about 5 degrees over the temp of the room. Just opening the closet door creates enough air circulation. Don't think this would come close to starting a fire. Keep us posted and happy listening, Chris.
