I'll start with "It's getting dark, too dark to see" by Bob Dylan from "Knocking on Heaven's Door". There are many, many that come to mind.

So many favorites! I tend to think of the WHOLE lyric rather than a phrase or line.

I love the lyrics to Joni Mitchell's "Silken Veils of Ardor" on "Don Juan's Reckless Daughter." Dylan's vocals to "Simple Twist of Fate." Jimi Hendrix's "Axis Bold as Love."

And some old stuff. I grew up on Gershwin as he's my Dad's big favorite and I love the lyrics to "I've Got a Crush on You" and "Someone to Watch over Me." And I love the lyrics to "Come Rain or Shine." That's how I love.

Love the complete songs but a couple of my fav lines are Pink Floyds The Gunner's Dream "and the silver in her hair shines in the cold november air" and J. Tillmans Chateau Lobby #4 "I wanna take you in the kitchen lift up that wedding dress someone was probably murdered in" JD
