Raspberry Pi 2 Music Server

This could be an interesting side project.   And it is a relatively inexpensive build.  Has anyone built one of these as a dedicated music server?  Any security issues having something like this on your home network?

Thx for sharing! Sounds like a great and cheap thing to try out!
I would say your homenet work should have a strong enough key that no one can get into it in the first place.

Yes I built one last fall.
They are very cost friendly and sound great with a dac+.
We also got the volumio to work with it too.
There is nothing out there that comes close to this performance to cost ratio.
Only draw back I had to teach myself how to load and setup the os.  Which was all new to me.

Over in the PS Audio forums, I believe someone took one of these and even added on an I2S board to it for direct coupling to the DirectStream DAC.
