Hi all.
I'm Guy 13 from planet Vietnam.
Actually I am a French Canadian from Montreal, Quebec and I've been living in Vietnam with my Vietnamese wife for the past 20 years.
I've been involved with audio since I was 15 years old.
I owned a Decware SE84C+ for the last 6 years that I love.
I will post more later about my ups and downs with audio stuff.

Hi Guy13.  I recognized you from the Audio Circle.  I've had a few posts about my Decware ZMA on the tubes forum there and my JansZen speakers on the planar pages.

I've had success posting pics that are local to my PC by using the insert image icon (3rd from the left).  Just paste your copied image where the cursor is after clicking on the icon.  Hope that helps.

Hi all.
This is my system and it will be with very little modifications until I kick the bucket.
Guy 13
Rega P3 w/Rega Exact
Phono stage use to be a Bellari VP129 but had all kind of interferences and hum problem, so I'm looking for something else.
Rega RB301 arm, but soon to be replace by a PDR linear arm that a generous Canadian Audio Circle member sent me free of charge on planet Vietnam.
Rega Apollo CD Player
Decware SE84C+ with Electro Harmonix EL84/6922 and Sovtek 5AR4
Bottlehead Crack amplifier w/Sennheiser HD650
Omega 7F extended range driver Open Baffle Dipole configuration
Two 12"  Eminence Acoustinator subwoofer driven by GR Research SA-1 ss plate amplifier in Open Baffle Dipole H frame configuration.
In 48 audio years, up to now, the best sounding system I ever had, that's the sound I've been looking for and that I enjoy each time I listen.

Testing 1, 2 testing... At last, at long, long last,
I've got it now.

Hi Beowulf.

I found all by myself how to add quote to my post.
(( No medal necessary. ))
Next is how to figure out how to post my avatar,
that don't look too easy, for me.

Adding an Avatar ...

1. Click on "My Center" (under the banner at the top of the webpage).

2. Click on "Profile" tab (there are 3 (Messages, Profile, Posts).

3. Click on "Options" (you will need to confirm you password).

4. Check the box "I have my own pic:" and then paste or type the URL of you pic in the box.

5. You can also add "Personal Text" (a phrase or saying, etc,) and/or update you "Signature" with your system components, etc. within the same area.

6. Click "Save Changes".

That should get you all set.

OK, now my question ... how did you do the quote like that?  It looks better than the way I do it! Smiley

Mine looks like this

But your has the actual tag back to the original post.  Did you find an easier way to do it?

Hi beowulf.
Thanks for the detailed step by step information,
I will follow it and do it as soon as I finish writing this post.
As for your question, I really don't know/remember how I did it.
I have to try again and write it down and the share with you.
What I know, is that I was trying to post my avatar and I end up some where where I saw the word Quote and I click on it and there it goes.
I will get back to you soon.
Don't loose any sleep over that. Grin

Hi (Again) beowulf.
I did everything you mentioned and it worked fine,
except for the avatar itself.
I have to get it from URL (What ever that means)
but I don't have one.
Well, for now, the little doggie will do.

Hi beowulf.
I think I got it.
My first trial was the following:
Click on Guy 13
above my four legged friend Avatar.
At the bottom left it shows :
Show the last 5/10/15/100
Click [GO] right beside.
Choose the post you want to quote.
At the bottom right corner there are three choices:
Reply/Quote/Notifications.
Click Quote.
...and voila. Wink

I see, when you go into that screen the quote button is there, but no where else.  Thanks for pointing that out! Wink

Hi beowulf.
I will post my opinion, hopefully my post won't be deleted.
I am a member of three forum:
AudioCircle
Bottlehead Forum
and this one.
The forum that was the easiest to set up an account with
was AudioCircle
and they are also the easiest to browse true
and it has the highest pictures pixels posting.
Second is Bottle head forum.
The posting of pictures is different
and not as convenient as AC.
Very easy to browse over.
Then this forum, the most difficult and less convenient for me
the old fashion analog guy.
Now, after saying what I think, will my post be deleted?
I hope not.
I will get use to a different way of posting.
The two things that still need to be improved is the missing
of the Quote box in every post
and the fact that I cannot download the picture I want in my avatar.
The little doggy of my avatar is nice, but I think a picture of Guy 13

(aka: The handsome man) would be better, at least for me, if not for you.
Well, that's it, what had to be said, was said.

Try again using the steps about changing you avatar above and when you click "I have my own pic" paste this in there:  http://www.audiocircle.com/image.php?id=36735

(it's the URL from your picture in Audio Circle.

A URL by the way is the "www" address of the photo you want to post in the forums.

For example, lets say I wanted to post a picture of your open baffle speakers.  I would

1. browse to the location/webpage that the picture is on.
2. right click on the picture, select properties.
3. locate the URL, highlight the URL and then copy it.
4. come over to the Decware Forums and click the pic button and then paste the URL in between the image code:

It would look like this:

[img*]http://www.audiocircle.com/image.php?id=46314[/img*] without the asterisk they are only there to show you the code, but they need to be removed.

the result would be:

Hi beowulf.
Humm... I've been giving you lots of work.
All my pictures are in my PC computer under : My documents.
Do you know how I can get those pictures?
That would be very convenient for me, the other solution is to transfer my pictures from My documents to Photobucket.
Maybe I will try that and see if stupid me can succeed.

I gave you the URL to the picture of you over on audio circle.  You can copy and paste that URL in the place where I explained and that should change your avatar to that.

I upload all of my pics to photobucket, it is by far the easiest way I found to post pics of my stuff on forums such as this.

Sorry about my lack of knowledge and ability with computer stuff.
From now on (On this subject) I won't use anymore of your precious time.
I feel  :-[ with this.
