Yes, I agree. Much too rich for many of us.
Performance/price ratio is seldom in sync.

Now that I think of it, the FRX2 has a certain thing common as it can change the presentation of it's sound using the switchable field coil. Unique all right. I would wish that someone somewhere had a museum of working audio of all kinds that could be heard. Old fantastic electrostatics made from gold leafed animal skins. Frankenstien horns and fireball plasma tweeters. Better than a toaster museum.

I thought there was an actual audio museum in Minnesota or somewhere up north. I don't recall exactly where, but I remember reading about it.
