SE84ZSM Information
08/23/13 at 21:20:35
I notice that these speakers are rated at 2.3 watts into 4ohms. I am contemplating purchasing a pair of these monos but my speakers are 8 ohms. What are the consequences? would I get the best out of these amps?

It depends in part on the sensitivity of the speakers. If they are high sensitivity it might do the trick.

101dB is really efficient! I would say that you should be able you hit some good volume with this combo.
There is an option for a 6-16 ohm output transformer, and if you were using the Soul Superflys at 16 ohms I would say get the 6-16 ohm ... but after chatting to a lot of people on this forum it seems like the real magic for these particular amps is with the 2 - 6 ohm output transformer and since your speakers are so efficient I'm thinking this combo would work nicely.
But I would talk with Steve first and see what he has to say before you place your order.
