Will the ZP3 accept a 2.4 mv cart ? (Read 3044 times)

Will the ZP3 accept a 2.4 mv cart ?

  I am thinking of getting a cartridge called a Soundsmith Zephyr "moving iron" type. It is listed as having an output of 2.4 mV so I was wondering if it can work directly with the ZP3 phono amp?
   My Ortofon 2M Bronze MM 5.5 mV.   Would step up unit be needed?   Thanks

Yes, you should be good with that.  The ZP3 has 43dB gain, which is a good match for that cart.
